The Shrewsbury Heritage group will be filling the Streets of the Town on Bloom Judging days. If you’ve ever wanted to dress up and celebrate this great Town this is a good time to join.
The first meeting is Monday July 1, at the HIVE, 5 Belmont, Shrewsbury.
ALL ages welcome. The judging days are Tuesday July 23 and Monday Aug 5. The main time of day for performance is midday – 1.30pm but we'd love to have costumed folks on the Street from 11am. So it's an extended lunch hour for those of you who work and schools have broken up so families can join in.
If you can’t make the first meeting but are interested please get in touch and if you can only do one of the judging days that’s fine too.
There are lots of Shrewsbury characters from the Centuries to consider and all costumes will be provided.
The English Country dances, very easy, will be created to tunes of English Country Garden and Lavenders Blue.
Please pass this information to friends who you think would like to be part of these events.
It's totally FREE and lots of FUN as many of you already know.
Contact Maggie Love shrewsburyheritage@gmx.com for more information and find the group on facebook @ Shrewsbury Heritage.
