MP Daniel Kawczynski:
Open Day for Local Businesses – Friday 15 February 2013

Daniel Kawczynski MP is appealing to local businesses to attend an open day to find out more about securing contracts for the construction of the Battlefield Energy Recovery Facility.   The event will take place on Friday 15 February between 10:00am and 3:00pm at Shrewsbury Town Football Club, Oteley Road, Shrewsbury, SY2 6ST.

Daniel is committed to promoting local skills in a bid boost the economy and, as a result of successful negotiations with Veolia Environmental Services; an open day has been arranged for local firms to find out about the opportunities available to them.

Daniel Kawczynski MP says:

“The opportunities for local people to become involved go much wider than just construction. Veolia are looking for businesses that supply materials such as aggregates, concrete fixings, timber & plywood, joinery, ironmongery, fabricated metalwork and signage; as well as plant suppliers of cranes, generators and tyre repairs.

They are also keen to hear from hospitality suppliers to assist with catering and with accommodation for employees that will need to be temporarily based in Shrewsbury during the construction.

I urge local businesses to come forward so that they don’t miss out on being considered for these important contracts.”
