The expertise of Towler Shaw Roberts, the leading regional chartered surveyors, continues to be much in demand further afield.
TSR’s building consultancy team is now regularly asked to undertake work in other areas apart from Shropshire and the West Midlands, where they have established an impressive reputation.
Chris Hedley, the head of building surveying at TSR, travelled to Dublin last year to survey a building on the banks of the River Liffey.
He has now completed a similar project in London’s Canary Wharf.
He said: "We undertook a building survey for some investors who are investing in the Canary Wharf complex, so it’s great to still be continuing our work in London and being involved in the London city environment.
"It was interesting because although our work is indicating that there hasn't been a big change arising from Brexit in terms of investment opportunities and a willingness to invest, the talk among the occupiers down there, being larger commercial banks, is they were preparing schemes to possibly look at relocating out of London, out of Canary Wharf, and going elsewhere into Europe because of the uncertainly around Brexit.”
Mr Hedley added: "It again illustrates that geographically we're not constricted by being based in Shropshire by any means.
"Our ability to provide a quick response to a high standard that is comparable with our global competitors in the market really continues to attract our clients.”
TSR, which celebrated its 25th anniversary last year, has offices in Shrewsbury, Telford and Wolverhampton.
