Shrewsbury College of Arts & Technology will host a Higher Education Advice Event this weekend for those who want to beat the rising costs of university.

The drop-in event will be held at the College’s London Road campuses on Saturday 22 June from 1 – 3pm. Staff will be on hand to offer course advice and guidance on finance, transport, study support and childcare.

“With the rise in tuition fees, further education colleges are proving to be a low-cost alternative to traditional universities,” said Shrewsbury College’s Marketing Manager, Charmian Turner. “What’s more, changes to funding means that some students will be able to study a Level 4 qualification for free.”

“Our full and part-time university level courses include BA Honours, Foundation Degrees, Higher National Diplomas, Higher National Certificates and a range of professional qualifications with the likes of the AAT, ABE and CMI.”

The College are advising prospective students to arrive between 1-1.30pm if they would like to take part in course tasters and activities.
