A new appointment has been made as part of a county building company’s expansion plans.
Rachael Thomas (25), joins Shrewsbury-based Galliers Homes as a trainee quantity surveyor and will be working on the firm’s sites throughout Shropshire.
Rachael has three years’ experience in the housing sector, starting in the industry as a sales advisor with a national company and then working as part of its home design team. She is a former pupil of Meole Brace School and Shrewsbury Sixth Form College.
She said: “At the start of this year I decided to move to the construction side of the building business so began my training as a quantity surveyor, joining Galliers this summer to continue this role.
“It’s great to be part of a family-owned company which has a strong local reputation for quality and am looking forward to developing my career with them as they expand.”
Galliers commercial director James Parker welcomed Rachael on board, commenting: “We are expanding steadily in Shropshire, with several new sites planned, and are always keen to encourage young people into the construction industry.
