First Set of Firm’s Videos Prove Success for Job Programme

A Shropshire production company is celebrating success following completion of the very first batch of video CVs for a county-wide programme aimed at improving employment opportunities.

7video has been working in partnership with Shropshire Chamber of Commerce – of which it is a Patron – to produce a suite of video CVs as part of the Chamber’s People Portal, a first-of-its kind programme aimed at providing employers with a video catalogue of potential candidates from across the region.

With 236 exclusive spaces available to those in the search for work, People Portal (www.scocpeopleportal.co.uk) has already achieved significant success, matching many individuals with roles in their areas of interest and expertise. 

Peter Sims, Founder and Managing Director of 7video, explained: “We are proud to be working with the Chamber and in supporting jobseekers in their search for employment. As a result of our training on how to present effectively in front of a camera, and our informal set-up and support throughout, even the most camera-shy are able to put across their very best qualities through video – something which a two-dimensional CV just can’t.”

People Portal candidates are coached by the team at 7video on how to best convey their skills and abilities in the most appropriate way through a presentation skills workshop, in addition to having their professionally-produced CV available onwww.scocpeopleportal.com for employers to view at their convenience, and a unique URL which can be used to direct web traffic to the individual’s video.
