This week marks the tenth national Recycle Week. To celebrate this milestone we are making a big push on promoting recycling across the county all week – in particular over the airways teaming up with BBC Radio Shropshire to do a programme a day all about how you can waste less and recycle more. We'll also be doing lots on social media so follow us @ShropshireWaste or check out our facebook page for hints & tips about recycling.
We'll also be out and about this week talking to local residents face to face about how they can recycle more including staging an event in Shrewsbury Town Square this Tuesday 18th June 2013 from 10 am to 4 pm. We will be working in partnership with a number of local organisations who will also be exhibiting at the event including:
- Veolia Environmental Services (Shropshire) Ltd.
- Shrewsbury Furniture Re-use Scheme (Home Essentials)
- Shropshire Master Composters
- Shropshire Wildlife Trust
- Shrewsbury Friends of the Earth
- Cycle Shrewsbury
So come on down if you have any queries about recycling and hopefully you will be inspired to help us reduce the environmental and economic burden of waste and make Shrewsbury cleaner & greener.
