Award-winning Halls Commercial has announced the letting of two more town centre shops in Ludlow within the last month.

James Evans, head of Shrewsbury-based Halls Commercial, said commercial properties in Ludlow are attracting strong interest from potential buyers and tenants.

The two properties let during November are 9, King Street and 6 to 8, Old Street, Ludlow.

A prominently located lock up shop, 9, King Street has 910 square feet of retail and storage space with a kitchenette and toilet in an established shopping street.

The property was marketed with an annual rent of £20,000 and rateable value of £21,500. The tenant had not been disclosed.

A Grade 2 listed lock up shop with a traditional wooden glazed shopfront, which has been used a sweet shop, 6-8, Old Street has a net sales area of 468 sq ft on the ground floor and a 463 sq ft basement with a toilet. The new tenant is EP Barbershop Ltd.

Refurbished within the last two years, the property was marketed with an annual rent of £10,000 and a rateable value of £9,700. The shop is located in a mixed retail and residential street in the town, which has population of around 11,000.

Mr Evans said: “Ludlow is a very popular market town location for retailers and we are delighted to have found new tenants for these two shops.

“The town is an important South Shropshire tourist destination with a reputation for the quality of its food and drink, boasting excellent bars and restaurants and an abundance of quality producers.
