Calling all talented singers! MTJ Productions are looking for aspiring musical theatre performers to join the already star-studded cast of ‘West End Story’.

The performance which takes place at Shrewsbury’s Theatre Severn on July 1st features performers such as Alex Reid, former Celebrity Big Brother winner, West End singer Cici Howells, Trinity Theatre’s Nancy Laura Coard, Lucy Edge and other seasoned professionals including Michael Jenkins, also producer of this star-spangled show.

Michael is looking to recruit 15 young singers to make up a vibrant ensemble that will support the main cast throughout the glittering performance.

The successful singers will rehearse and perform some of the nation’s favourite musical theatre hits, including numbers from the much-loved Lés Mis, Carousel and 9 to 5.

“I am really excited to see what young talent is available in Shrewsbury, I know there is a great deal of musical theatre being performed in the town already but I can’t wait to bring something a bit different to the venue,” Michael said.

“I am looking for 15 performers to join the cast in what will be a very lively performance, the kind of people we are looking for are those who have the aspiration to work in the field and would benefit from gaining professional experience.”

To be in with the chance of joining the cast and live orchestra, you need to be between 16 and 21 years old, and be available to attend an audition at Theatre Severn on Friday, May 6, between 7pm – 9pm.

If you are keen to raise your voice, then email info@mtjprioductions.co.uk to register you interest and book your place at the audition.
