Tennis Shropshire will showcase just how much fun the sport is at Attingham Park over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Tennis will be one of more than 20 sports being promoted in the grounds of the picturesque National Trust property near Shrewsbury on the third and final day, Monday, May 4, of the Game On event, a festival of sport successfully launched last year when more than 8,500 visitors attended across the three days.
Tennis Shropshire will invite people of all ages to pick up a racket and give tennis a go with qualified coaches on hand to pass on top tips between 11am and 4pm.
Normal admission prices to Attingham Park apply although there is no extra cost to try your hand at tennis.
People of all ages will have the chance to use the fun Tennis Factory equipment which always proves to be extremely popular.
Bob Kerr, the vice-chairman of Tennis Shropshire, said: "Game On is part of a venture between several sports and the National Trust to showcase and celebrate individual sports.
"We will be encouraging people to take part in tennis and signpost them towards the local clubs in their area where they can go and receive coaching.
"The Tennis Factory equipment will be on show and that's always a great success. It's fun time for everybody, young and old, with all the different tennis stations."
Tennis Shropshire will return to Attingham Park later next month on Sunday, May 31 for their second Tennis in the Park event which was a big success last year.
They have a host of other exciting events lined up for 2015 including three Great British Tennis Weekends when clubs around the county will throw open their doors to offer free tennis for people of all ages.
