Shropshire’s 53-acre showground will this week (WED AUGUST 15) launch a new website featuring news and information about the top events heading to the county.

The West Mid Showground hosts numerous festivals, events and corporate entertainment throughout the year, including the Shropshire County Agricultural Show and the Shropshire County Horse Show.

It is also host to one of the biggest Bonfire and Firework displays in the county, the hugely popular Shrewsbury Folk Festival, Shrewsbury Fields Forever, transport festivals, vintage rallies, car boot sales and much more.

Andrew Meek, general manager of the showground in Berwick Road, Shrewsbury, said: “The showground is now hosting events nearly every weekend which attract thousands of people from across the country.

“Our website is the first port of call for the majority of our visitors and as the showground became more popular we felt it was imperative that we upgrade the website.

“The new site contains more information about the showground and its facilities, more information about the annual events that we host, information about our regular car boot sales, details about membership of the agricultural society and of course, more information about the Shropshire County Agricultural Show.

“The new site also contains our 2012 county show photographs, featuring many of the wonderful traders, exhibitors and entertainers we had on site this year.

“We are now counting down to the bonfire event on November 6 and preparations have already begun for the 2013 Shropshire County Agricultural Show on May 25. Our new website will be regularly updated with new information on these events and more.”

The new website will be launched on Wednesday August 15 and can be seen at www.shropshirecountyshow.com
