Morris Property has commenced works on a new industrial unit at its popular Centurion Park on Kendal Road, Shrewsbury, marking the latest phase in the site’s ongoing development.
The new build Grade A warehouse and trade counter unit, to be known as Unit 48, will extend to approximately 6,091 ft2. Designed to meet modern tenant needs, the unit will feature a generous 7m eaves height, high-quality office and welfare facilities, a secure yard, and a dedicated parking area.
Sustainability has been embedded into the scheme as part of the company’s wider commitment to responsible development. The building will incorporate roof-mounted solar panels, while the parking area will include electric vehicle charging points. A landscaped zone to the rear of the unit will provide a natural buffer between the business park and neighboring residential areas.
The development represents the latest milestone in the regeneration of Centurion Park, which has benefited from more than £3.5 million of investment by owners Morris & Company. Since 2019, the site has been revitalised following the demolition of outdated buildings and the delivery of 24 modern industrial units, helping to create a thriving business community. The park continues to attract a range of established occupiers, supporting both business growth and long-term investment in the local economy.
Mark Bennett at Morris Property, said: “We’re pleased to see work underway on Unit 48, which will further strengthen the offer at this popular business park. The continued demand for quality industrial space in Shrewsbury highlights the importance of delivering well-designed, sustainable units in strong, established locations such as this.”
Demonstrating the strong appeal of the development ahead of its completion, the unit is already under offer, with an occupier lined up to move in as soon as practical completion is achieved.
Morris Property is part of a fifth-generation family business group which has been building, restoring and leasing property for over 150 years.
