A leading Shropshire hotel has become one of just a handful in the UK to make it into a top travel website company’s ‘Hall of Fame’.

The Best Western Valley Hotel in Ironbridge has received a Certificate of Excellence Award from TripAdvisor, a company providing reviews for holiday accommodation, for the last five years.

Now the top country hotel, owned by Phillip and Lesley Casson, has been inducted into the company's ‘Hall of Fame’.

Lisa Snape, sales and marketing manager for the hotel, said: “We are delighted to have received this award from TripAdvisor five years in a row and to make it into the ‘Hall of Fame’ is really fantastic.

“TripAdvisor is very popular amongst travellers looking for a top quality experience so this recognition enables us to shine and stand out from our competitors. In fact only 10 per cent of hotels listed on tripadvisor receive this certificate of excellence.

“The award is testament to the continued hard work and commitment of all the staff at The Valley who go out of their way to ensure all guests have a wonderful stay with us.”

The Certificate of Excellence award celebrates excellence in hospitality and is given to establishments that consistently achieve great traveller reviews on TripAdvisor.

The ‘Hall of Fame’ was created to honour businesses that have earned the Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years.

The Valley will join winners from all over the world that have continually delivered a superior customer experience.

Only a very small percentage of businesses in the UK reviewed on TripAdvisor have been inducted into the ‘Hall of Fame’.
