Jo Caulfield

One of the ‘finest female comedians at work’ arrives in Shrewsbury at the end of the month for an exclusive performance at Henry Tudor House.

Jo Caulfield, who is well known for her numerous TV appearances, is the star of the venue’s comedy club evening on March 30.

Graham Jenkins, owner of Henry Tudor House, which is situated just off Wyle Cop, said that it was expected to be a great evening.

“Jo Caulfield is in demand as a headline act at all of the UK’s major comedy clubs and has completed various nationwide theatre tours so we are delighted that she agreed to perform here in Shrewsbury,” he said.

Described as ‘one of the finest female comedians at work’ by the Observer, she has written and starred in three series of her own critically-acclaimed Radio 4 comedy shows, as well as appearing on a variety of other radio programmes. Jo is also Graham Norton’s head writer.

Her many television appearances include regular guest spots on the BBC’s Mock the Week and Have I Got News For You.

Henry Tudor House resident comedy host Mark Olver, who has worked as a compare on shows such as Jonathan Ross and The Last Leg, will introduce Ivo Graham alongside Jo Caulfield.

At the age of 18 and eight months Ivo became the youngest ever winner of the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny award for new acts at the Edinburgh Fringe.

He has since become a regular fixture in the clubs and theatres of the UK comedy circuit.

The show starts at 8pm on March 30 and tickets, costing £13, are available from Henry Tudor House or from the venue’s website http://www.henrytudorhouse.com/comedy-club-jo-caulfield/
