The chairman of a Shropshire school’s board of governors is retiring at Christmas after 15 years on the board.
Brian Newman was appointed to the board at Prestfelde School, in Shrewsbury, in 2001 and in 2010 succeeded as Chairman, or Custos as it is known in the Woodard family of schools, of which Prestfelde is one.

Shrewsbury pupils are digging in to create new woodland areas in the grounds of their school.
