Including the return of Karen van Hoff, who will be teaching jewellery making and also Katy Alston who will be teaching a few 'book art' courses. Places are limited, so we would suggest booking early! We will also be running a beginners sewing machine course over 3 Saturdays which will be a fantastic and informative course for those who want to do more with their sewing machine.

Polymer Clay Bead making with Pat Philpott Make your own beads and create a unique necklace! Bring any beads you have in a similar colour to which you would like to make up. Plus any in gold or silver – your preference. Bring a small tray to bead on, or a dinner plate. Knitting with a Difference with Pat Philpott Take a look at your knitting, its direction and some of the more technical aspects. Requirements: a ball of double knitting or similar and the appropriate needles. Large tapestry needle, scissors, 3 balls (or bits) of wool that go together, eg, blue/turqoiuse, green/brown. Beginners Sewing Machine Course with Pat Philpott Basic sewing machine techniques for beginners. At the end of the course you will understand more about your machne, do some sewing, pressing, seams, darts, zips and binding. Lots of hints and tips along the way to improve the finish and quality of what you make. You will need: your sewing machine and instruction book, needles, sewing thread, small pieces of different fabrics (8” square) and scissors. Calling all dressmakers! How to make a pattern from a garment WITHOUT unpicking it with Pat Philpott. An old/new favourite or something that does not fit anymore and then we can alter the pattern. You’ll need a garment, greaseproof paper, pins, pencil and paper scissors, as well as a large cork notice board or mat if you have one.
