SJN are delighted to welcome a return visit of Tommaso Starace Quartet with a brand new project 'Italian Short Stories’. The quartet includes an international line up featuring Tommy Bradascio (drums) Frank Harrison (piano) and Nic Breakspear (bass).

Starace has chosen 14 images from the vast portfolio of Berengo Gardin, featuring such places as Palermo, Milan, Venice, Genoa, Siena and Florence.

Each image holds a story that the quartet narrate whilst the images are projected onto a screen creating an atmosphere of 'cinematic jazz'.

As Tommaso says
… “for me it was a leap back into my Italian background and the memories and experiences that infected my music are still a source of delight and contentment.
I wish the listener a similar experience.”.
