Taste of Life on a Japanese Bullet Train

Morris Property has announced completion of an unusual shop fitting contract for the new Mount Fuji Japanese Teriyaki restaurant in St David’s Shopping Mall, Cardiff. The Morris Joinery team rose to the challenge of recreating the inside of the famous bullet train, transforming a somewhat bleak and empty unit to take centre stage in the busy shopping mall.

Morris Joinery Manager, Steve Granda commented: “We relish the opportunity to develop unusual and bespoke interiors like this.  Our team have crafted all the furniture to include counters, canopies made from cherry wood and tables and chairs in booths, all designed to give the customer the feeling of sitting on an authentic train carriage.”

The fit out also includes a sushi bar and even features panoramic views of the Mount Fuji tea fields and the city of Tokyo, placed in the windows to complete the picture.
