Sunshine Lamborghini to blossom at Flower Show

With the Shrewsbury Flower Show just over a week away, businesses have been racing to book the last few trade stand places at this, the county’s premier event.

Newly-formed company Sportscarhire of Shrewsbury brought along its latest supercar, a striking yellow Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, to check out the venue after booking a trade stand and to introduce itself to show organisers the Shropshire Horticultural Society.

The Battlefield-based specialist hire firm provides a range of top marque cars including Aston Martin, Porsche, Lotus, BMW, Caterham, a Nissan GT-R and Jaguar F-Type, for individual days and weekends or for weddings and ride experience trips.

Flower Show marketing co-ordinator Helen Griffiths, said: “This year we will have millions of blooms displayed in the biggest floral marquee in recent years, to go with the show ring entertainment, children’s events and many other attractions to make this a truly fantastic day out for all the family, followed of course by our famous fireworks display each evening.

“This year we have over 400 trade stands and we are delighted to welcome a new and innovative local company like Sportscarhire to showcase their amazing vehicles at this famous show - adding yet another interest for visitors, such as my husband Tony as this Lamborghini Gallardo is his all-time favourite car.”

Paul Edwards of Sports Car Hire added: “It is very exciting to be exhibiting some of the exotic cars from our new company at the Flower Show for the first time, as this is renowned as one of the UK’s top gardening and leisure shows.

“We hope our display will give visitors an idea of what sports and supercars are available for fun trips, weekend breaks or special occasions, ranging from the fun-to-drive but minimalist Caterham 7 to the sensational soft-top Lamborghini.”
