Silversmith Collaborates with Shropshire company on new project

A talented Shropshire Silversmith, who has conducted successful jewellery workshops and courses alongside running her own art shop and studio, is to collaborate with an Oswestry company on an exciting new project.

Angela Georgiou, who has spent more than a decade running her own business in creating bespoke handmade jewellery, will shortly join the British Ironwork Centre’s groundbreaking interactive workshops project.

She will be providing public demonstrations alongside running courses during which novices and those with some silver-smith experience can learn to create their own pieces of sterling silver jewellery or improve their skills.  She will also be selling a range of her own designs and other  carefully selected pieces.

Angela, who has a HND in Silversmithing from the Birmingham School of Jewellery and a degree in Applied Arts together with teaching qualifications, is passionate about her art and says that she looks forward with excitement to working with the Centre.

“I am passionate about work and I hope that, by working with the British Ironwork Centre, we can create a beautiful space where visitors can enjoy seeing me work.  I would be thrilled for people from all walks of life to come along to experience the art of silver jewellery-making & Silversmithing generally”.

Clive Knowles, Chairman of the Centre, said “We are delighted to announce our collaboration with Angela as part of our interactive workshops projects.  We are able to provide our visitors with the opportunity to experience a variety of traditional skills at first hand and speak with our craftspersons whilst they work.”

“Angela is incredibly talented and our guests cannot fail to enjoy observing her at work or to try their hand within a workshop!”
