Shropshire marketing expert to feature on national radio

Shropshire internet marketing expert Helen Culshaw will feature on national radio this coming Monday (May 5th) to discuss the challenges of running a business in rural areas.

Ms Culshaw, owner of Ascendancy Internet Marketing in Shifnal, will be joined on BBC Radio 4 Woman’s Hour programme by Polly Gibb, the director of Women in Rural Enterprise.

Radio producers pre-recorded the interview with the two businesswomen earlier this week ready for the show on Monday which can be heard between 10am and 11am.

Ms Culshaw, who set up her business 10 years ago, said: “The programme will feature several women in business including myself, Polly and a female sheep farmer.

“Having started and built up my business in rural Shropshire I am only too aware of some of the challenges which may face businesses.

“I was interviewed on a number of issues such as employment and flexible working and asked to give some general advice to women starting rural enterprises.

“It’s great to be able to impart my own experiences and help others thinking of starting out in business.

“It is the second time that I will have featured on national radio. It is very exciting but slightly nerve wracking at the same time,” added Ms Culshaw, who is also a visiting Lecturer at Birkbeck College, London.

Ascendancy Internet Marketing specialises in web design and development and internet marketing.
