Shropshire Designer Makers, small Businesses AND Father Christmas come to Church Stretton!

Mayfair Community Centre in Church Stretton will be holding a very special event at the end of November, to include a very special visitor.

A Frost Fair has been organised to include local designer makers from The Shropshire Guild of Contemporary Craft as well as local food producers and makers.

Sophie Eades, Centre Coordinator said "we've been working on making a really fun festive family event which is going to be on Saturday November 30th" and we've managed to persuade Father Christmas to have a day out from his usual routine to come and join us, and meet the children that come along".
Sophie continued "we've got lots of lovely sellers including glassmaker Jackie Abbott and textile artist Nicola Haigh coming from The Shropshire Guild of Contemporary Craft, as well as Nikki Williams from Kinki Glass nr Ironbridge, and also cakes, preserves, Shropshire goats milk soap and also Talking Trees Books, who are based in Shropshire and produce the Country Wisdom and Folklore Dairy. We also have Alpaca wool items, and jewellery made by Karen Van Hoff and Stephanie Jacobs from Church Stretton will be exhibiting her pretty sculptures too!"

The Frost Fair will be held from 10am – 3pm on Saturday November 30th. Mayfair will also be offering a very special festive cafe menu from 10am. The creche will also be open from 10am - 2pm.

Centre Coordinator, Sophie said “we are all so excited about this event, we are planning to make Mayfair very Christmassy for the day!”
