Shrewsbury BID announces five new board members

Five new board directors have been announced by the Shrewsbury Business Improvement District (BID) to help deliver projects and services set out in its five year business plan and reflect the priorities of the sectors they represent.

The new directors appointed to the board are Mike Dalton, Stop. Café Bar; Trish Donavan, Vinterior; Donna Preston, M&S; Lucy Cook, Thomas Cook and Salla Virman, The Hive.

They directors were appointed at Shrewsbury BID’s annual meeting which was held on Thursday 14th May at Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery. At the meeting the 2014/15 company accounts were presented and new directors elected to the board by Shrewsbury BID members attending the meeting.

Mike Matthews, Chairman of Shrewsbury BID said: “I would like to warmly welcome the new members to the Shrewsbury BID board and thank them for volunteering their time to represent their respective sectors.”

“All five bring with them a wealth of experience and enthusiasm. Shrewsbury BID board continues to have a great breadth of knowledge and ambition to build on our first year. We will continue to deliver our company priorities, whilst representing sectors from across Shrewsbury’s business community. I look forward to working with the group over the coming months.”

The new members will join existing Shrewsbury BID board members and Chairman Mike Matthews from the Prince Rupert Hotel to help uphold and promote the BID’s vision and objectives.
