Shrewsbury & Atcham MP hosts Shrewsbury-China Business Alliance

Shrewsbury and Atcham MP, Daniel Kawczynski is proud to have hosted the first Shrewsbury-China business alliance to have been formed in the Houses of Parliament.

As a keen promoter of local businesses and a leading voice on UK exporting, Mr Kawczynski has backed Shrewsbury based company, Red Step Marketing since meeting them at a local business function earlier this year. Last week he made history by hosting a crucial business meeting in Westminster, helping them to clinch a major Chinese client and promote Shropshire in Asia.

Directors, Chris Allen, Simon Jeavons and Neil Hambley formed Red Step Marketing to provide business marketing services to Chinese Manufactures and have been working closely with the Government to promote the company through the UK Trade and Industry Passport to Export programme. They fly out to Hong Kong on Friday to meet business leaders and new clients from China and will be inviting delegates to visit the county as they work in partnership with the global manufacturers.

Mr Kawczynski said “I am thrilled at the success of Red Step Marketing. This partnership will contribute to the growth of the company and the local economy. I am also thrill at Red Step’s enthusiasm to sell Shropshire investment opportunities while doing business abroad. I am looking forward to hearing of their successes and welcoming the foreign business delegates to the county as the global partnership expands.

Red Step Director, Chris Allen endorses Mr Kawczynski’s involvement, “The support available to Shropshire firms who wish to export is there if they seek it out. UKTI and particularly Daniel have been superb helping us launch ourselves into China and we will continue to involve them in the success of Red Step Marketing going forward. "
