A New Blues’n’Roots Festival for Shropshire

The first ever Church Stretton Blues 'n' Roots Festival will be held in the town on Saturday 31st May 2014.

The festival, which will be supporting MacMillan Cancer Support, features both national and international artists, as well as some fantastic homegrown Shropshire talent.

A total of 14 artists will be performing throughout the day from noon until 10.30pm.

Headlining the Festival is Shrewsburys ‘Blues Boy’ Dan Owen who has recently been nominated for 3 of The British Blues awards 2014, one being best vocals, which of course goes without saying!!

Another young and up and coming artist to watch is Polly Money. Polly is an 18 year old Blues & Folk singer songwriter from Cornwall. Not only has she played alongside Dan on many occasions she has also supported Muse and Gabrielle Aplin.

But not only do we have a fantastic line-up and an entertaining day for all planned, of which all details can be found at www.BluesnRoots.co.uk, we have also chosen MacMillan Support as our Charity. We hope to raise money and awareness for this great organisation. We are proud and honoured to be involved with such a worthy charity that give so much support to Cancer suffers and their families.

A fully stocked licensed bar as well as food from around the world, will be available on site, at Rectory Field, Church Stretton Shropshire.

Tickets are very limited and cost £20 online (£25 on gate if still available).
