Indulge yourself at Attingham Park’s Food Fair

As autumn arrives, visitors to Attingham Park on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 September will have the chance to indulge themselves as the popular annual Food Fair returns to the historic grounds.

Visitors will be able to soak up the atmosphere, and browse the marquee full of stalls selling a range of mouth-watering local produce, at the popular National Trust property near Shrewsbury.

There is sure to be something to tempt everyone with some of the region’s finest foods on offer, from gourmet sausage rolls to homemade preserves and artisan breads. Visitors will be able to re-fuel as they browse with stalls selling hot food including a hog roast and sweet and savoury crepes, and with the fair running from 10am until 4pm there’s plenty of browsing time.

To top it off visitors will also have the chance to take a bit of Attingham home with them with some freshly picked fruit and vegetables from the estate’s Walled Garden, all organically grown and harvested by Attingham’s green-fingered staff and volunteers.

Joanne Marlor, Events and Marketing Assistant, said, “The Food Fair is always an event with a fantastic atmosphere, and it’s a great start to the autumn. There will be a real variety with everything from chocolate to cheese, and even Attingham honey, which will be on sale for the first time this year. All of the products are handmade locally so it’s a great opportunity to discover some fantastic food made on your doorstep. Whether you’re looking for something in particular or fancy trying something new, it promises to be a great day out.”
