Good2Great Six Year Success

A local company which is focused on creating positive growth for companies across Shropshire is celebrating its sixth birthday in style after generating millions of pounds for businesses since its launch in 2007.

Shropshire-based Good2Great is celebrating its own success after helping over 100 businesses across the area improve their profits and grow their turnover as well as helping to create 200 jobs and generate £20million pounds worth of business too.

Johnny Themans of Good2Great explained: “We’re absolutely thrilled that we’ve been able to support so many businesses across the region in the last six years. Without a business owner, a business wouldn’t exist, so we came together and utilised our knowledge of working within senior roles in corporate life, so that we could help local business owners reap the rewards they set out for in the first place.”

The firm was the brainchild of Johnny Themans and Gary Halpin, and launched in Bridgnorth in 2007 to provide unrivalled support to owner-managed businesses in Shropshire and surrounding counties. “The recession has left trading tough for many,” Gary Halpin said. “Numerous redundancies have left people feeling uneasy and unsure about their future, which is why more and more people are willing to take control of their own destinies and set up their own businesses. This surge in first-business owners and start-ups led to us launching a dedicated free programme, Start2Great, where they can secure valuable information and strategic know-how to make their business work for them. “

Start2Great has become such a success for the firm that it has been recognised through the award of a number of funded European Programmes including the Start Up – Shape Up programme with the Marches LEP.
