Genus Systems: Genus Systems appoints two graduates as the business looks to expand in 2014

A Shropshire software-development company which celebrates ten years of trading this year has taken on two new graduate recruits to fulfil the demand for its services and plans for growth in 2014.

Telford based Genus Systems has appointed Lora Rogers as its new sales and marketing adviser and Sian James as an in-house graphic designer. 22-year-old Lora graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a degree in retail and marketing and will be responsible for the company’s marketing, new and current client liaison activities. Sian, who is also 22, gained a first class honours degree in graphic arts and design from Leeds Metropolitan University. As well managing the Genus brand her advice and expertise on publicity, event documentation, company brochures and marketing material, photography and illustration will also be offered to clients.

Lora and Sian will report to office manager Karen Wood who said: “2013 was a successful year for us with a number of long-term projects secured. Therefore, with planned expansion in mind for 2014, it made sense to appoint Lora and Sian, who with their excellent qualifications and skills and, as we are finding out, bags of youthful energy and enthusiasm, are already proving to be invaluable members of the team! Both will be contributing to the overall marketing and promotional activities of Genus Systems. Lora is already working closely with our clients to make them feel appreciated and welcomed; something that she knows is of utmost importance to us; and Sian’s range of support services, a first for Genus, will enable clients to present their final product offerings in an attractive and professional manner.”
