Fundraising mountain trek for Nick

A Shropshire financial planning consultant has reached new heights in to help raise money for charity.

Nick Jones, of Shrewsbury, is a partner with St James Wealth Management and joined a team of 45 colleagues from across the UK to climb Mount Toubkal in north Africa, at a height of over 4,000 metres.

Nick commented: “The Moroccan challenge was as huge as the mountain itself, made worse by the effects of altitude sickness, sleep deprivation and long hours traversing very difficult terrain.

“Regardless of these issues, I am delighted to have been one of the majority of our group who successfully made it to the top and in doing so I have raised several thousand pounds for charity.

“Being vice chairman of the Patrons of Shropshire Chamber of Commerce I am delighted at the backing offered by family, friends and the whole business community, as the St James’s Place Foundation supports a number of deserving causes throughout the country and beyond.”

As things stand, the whole team has raised £100k between them and further donations can be made by visiting
