Founding member of The Wonder Stuff plays Shropshire

Miles Hunt, founding member of one of the biggest indie bands in the late 80’s early 90’s, The Wonder Stuff, is thrilled to be playing an intimate set at The Four Crosses Inn, Bicton, Shrewsbury, on 21st September 2013. Miles will be joined by The Wonder Stuff’s multi-talented violinist Erica Nockalls.

Shropshire residents Miles and Erica have been performing together since 2006 and have recorded three albums including their latest “Catching More Than We Miss”. Miles said "I've lived in Shropshire now for some eighteen years and it has been very good to me. Erica and I don't get the chance to play in the county we call home as often as we would like. So we're really looking forward to playing at The Four Crosses".

Local promoters Elliot and Eleanor Howells have held gigs at The Four Crosses with Indie band Dodgy and are really looking forward to Miles and Erica playing, ‘We’ve put on a couple of very successful gigs previously and this one ought to be another belter - Miles and Erica are an amazing live act and we’re privileged to be joined by Mark Morriss too’

Support is from Mark Morriss formerly of The Bluetones, currently touring his new solo album ‘A Flash of Darkness’.

The Wonder Stuff were established in 1986 and went from playing tiny venues to touring worldwide and selling out stadiums. They had several top ten hits including “Size of a Cow”, “Welcome to The Cheapseats” and a cover of Tommy Roe’s “Dizzy” with Vic Reeves.

Miles and Erica will be playing a set of old classics and new material.

Tickets are available in advance at £15.
