Football Club Scores with New Community Videos

A Shropshire video production firm has partnered with one of the county’s leading football clubs to help showcase the team’s commitment to its local community.

7video has been called upon by Shrewsbury Town Community Sports Trust – a community development programme run by Shrewsbury Town Football Club – to produce a number of dynamic films to showcase what the club and its players do to support the local community.

Over the past few months alone, 7video has filmed a number of trust-led initiatives including a ‘Wake and Shake’ exercise video which saw Shrewsbury Town’s mascot Lenny the Lion join forces with Henry the Hope House Hound, and a group of local school teachers to encourage student participation in daily physical activity.

Jamie Edwards, Shrewsbury Town Football Club’s Community Trust Officer, explained: “We’re proud of what our community programme delivers and grateful for what the players do, over and above their day jobs on the pitch, and we are looking forward to developing our partnership with 7video and collating a number of videos which truly represent Shrewsbury Town Football Club and the Community Sports Trust.”

This partnership comes hot on the heels of success for 7video, which has just celebrated its seventh birthday in business and appointed additional members of staff to keep up with ever-growing projects – bringing its total team to seven.

Peter Sims, Founder and Managing Director of 7video, commented: “We were delighted to be asked to support Shrewsbury Town Football Club with this project – they’re doing many exciting and supportive things and we’re thrilled to be evidencing these through the power of film. It’s a particularly exciting period for the 7video team too as we’ve placed extensive investment in our video recording equipment, meaning that we’re able to bring the very best results to clients such as Shrewsbury Town Football Club, which has a huge presence in the town.”
