Double Award for Morris Machinery

Morris Site Machinery has achieved a first at its industry's leading exhibition, The Executive Hire Show, by winning two awards, Outstanding Exhibitor Award 2016 and the Innovation Trail - something no company has achieved in the show's 10 year history.

The leading manufacturer and global supplier, based in the Midlands, impressed show-goers and mystery judges with a ‘World of Possibilities’ as it looked to showcase all new innovations and products suitable for the Hire, Construction, Rail, TV and Film sectors.

Stealing the spotlight at the show was the exclusive ‘Makinex’ range of products. Known for ‘Making In-Efficiencies Extinct’ the range was primarily built for the Australian hire market, where robustness and reliability are paramount due to extreme on site environments.

The Makinex Powered Hand Truck is a first-to-market, universal materials handling solution that enables one person to safely lift and load small equipment or bulky goods weighing up to 140kg. Set to revolutionise health and safety and handling, it provides a quick and easy alternative to using a forklift or tailgate loader for small loads onsite or loading into vans.

Utilising a 12V 25 Amp linear actuator, the hand truck eliminates awkward and dangerous one or two person lifts. It’s lightweight, easy to operate and manoeuvre, with the lifting arm controlled by lifting or lowering the handles using a simple thumb switch.

In addition, it provides long life cycles and can recharge in just three hours with a standard drill battery, and – when fitted with a specially-designed hook attachment – has a maximum lift height of 1.9m (1.55m with its fork attachment).

Manufactured from aluminium, the hand truck is durable, and can be folded down flat for easy transport and storage.

Chris Morris, Chief Executive said: “We are delighted to have won these two awards and be recognised for driving innovation in our sector. As a leading manufacturer we are proud of our engineering heritage and ensuring our customers are armed with the most efficient and safe products to help them grow their business. We have already received a large order of twenty units for the Makinex Hand Powered Truck, along with a number of potential leads.

“Our focus in 2016 will be to offer the best products at the best price, along with establishing long term partnerships with our key account customers where we work together to mutual benefit.”
