Daniel Kawczynski MP Supports Belle Vue Arts Festival

Shrewsbury and Atcham MP Daniel Kawczynski has shown his support for this year’s Belle Vue Arts Festival by attending the opening party of the English Bridge Workshops.

The festival is in its 10th year and runs until 23 June 2013.  It is organised entirely by volunteers that are dedicated to bringing art into and out from the community.   Such events include art and photographic exhibitions, music and entertainment and local walks and bike rides.

English Bridge Workshops supports and promotes art in the local community. It provides space for activities such as painting and exhibitions as well as classes in Tai Chi and Yoga.  It also has studio space for local artists, creating work on a full time basis as well as hosting regular events.

Daniel Kawczynski MP said:
“I have been impressed by how local artists have managed to create an inspiring week of community art events and competitions.  Over the years, the Belle Vue Arts Festival has been well supported locally.  The success of the festival can be attributed to the hard work and dedication of the volunteers and also the coming together of the Belle Vue community. “

Local resident Paul Richmond who is a volunteer for the festival said:

“The festival creates an amazing buzz in the community.  It enables people to interact with others who they would not otherwise meet.”
