Christmas Event Prepares to Raise Hope for Charity

A Christmas extravaganza taking place this month is set to welcome a diverse range of entertainment acts to raise vital funds for local charity, Hope House Children’s Hospice.

The Christmas Variety Concert will take place on Friday 19th December in Ironbridge’s Enginuity from 7:30pm, and is welcoming performances by the Sundial Theatre Company, Wellington (Telford) Brass Band and Temponilla, a vocal harmony band.

Last year’s concert raised an impressive £3,000 for the charity, which helps to provide care and support to life-limited children, young people, and their families across Shropshire, Cheshire, and north and mid Wales.

Peter Nixon, Event Organiser, explained: “We’ve held the annual Christmas Variety Concert in Ironbridge for three years now and the feedback we’ve received from these events has been fantastic. This year’s concert is going to be no exception, and all proceeds from ticket sales and money spent by visitors during the evening is being donated to Hope House Children’s Hospice – a very worthwhile and valued charity.”

Tickets cost £7 per person, and can be purchased from Peter Nixon by calling 07864 714895 or by applying via post to 1 Coalport Close, Broseley, Shropshire, TF12 5BF, enclosing a cheque made payable to Hope House and SAE.

“We’re looking forward to an event filled with Christmas festivities, including popular carols and music, as well as laughter and joy, with the support of the Sundial Theatre Company, Wellington (Telford) Brass Band and Temponilla. Tickets are naturally limited, so I’d urge anyone interested in coming along, or for further information, to contact me on 07864 714895,” Peter concluded.
