Breakfast Event Dedicated to Boosting Businesses Bottom Line

A local environmental network dedicated to sharing best practice is inviting businesses from across the region to attend an event next week which will help them boost their bottom line.

The Business Environmental Support Scheme for Telford (BESST) is inviting organisations interested in reducing their energy costs to a breakfast meeting on Wednesday 30th April at the Best Western Valley Hotel, Ironbridge between 8.30am and 10.30am.
The event will provide attendees with the opportunity to hear from energy savings experts, share advice and guidance, and preview new technology which will transform the way we use electricity in the future. The morning will also play host to a number of presentations from BESST members, who will share how they’ve incorporated energy-efficient operations in their own businesses and reduced their utility bills.

Jaclyn Kitson, BESST Network Coordinator, explained: “Our bi-monthly breakfast meetings are extremely popular with our members, and we would like to invite organisations from across the region who are looking to implement more sustainable practices in their day-to-day operations.
“We have decided to focus on one of our core issues with our forthcoming event, and discuss ways businesses can help reduce their most necessary yet expensive commodity – utilities. Whatever the size of your organisation, the event will share advice that can be applied to large and small businesses, from understanding energy bills right through to on-site technologies that can help reduce costs.
“Due to the popularity of the breakfast meetings spaces are naturally limited. I would urge anyone interested in attending to get in touch and reserve their seat either by calling 01952 567 578, or emailing [email protected] ,” concluded Jaclyn.

Business Environment Support Scheme Telford (BESST) works in partnership with private and public sector businesses to help improve their environmental performance, in order to boost competitiveness and reduce their impact on the environment. BESST is a best practice sharing network, where members can share new ideas and exchange advice on ways to improve environmental efficiency. The group also aims to educate members about environmental awareness, and ways they can implement strategies to become more efficient.
