Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity funday

A fun day was recently held in Shrewsbury in aid of Birmingham Children’s Hospital, raising a staggering £1700.

The event was organised by Kelly Loughnane who has a personal attachment to the hospital after her 4 month old daughter had life saving heart surgery at just 2 weeks old. The funday was held at Shrewsbury Cricket Club on Sunday 3rd August after Kelly had her 2 children christened earlier in the morning.

Speaking after the event, Kelly said: “It is important to me and my family that we’re able to give something back to the hospital as they’ve done so much for Isla. They saved her life and she will have to be kept an eye on for the rest of her child life and the hard work of the dedicated staff there can’t go unnoticed.  We raised £1700 on the day, but our ultimate aim would be to hit the £2000 mark and would welcome any further donations that people can spare."
