Autumn comedy club line up announced

A comedy club run by Henry Tudor House in Shrewsbury has announced an exciting line up for the first event of its autumn programme.

The evening, on September 10, will feature double headliners Romesh Ranganathan and Jarred Christmas.
Television regular Romesh has built up the respect of his peers, which has resulted in him writing for numerous shows and supporting one of his comedy heroes Ricky Gervais.
He won the prestigious Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2013 and his critically acclaimed Edinburgh Festival debut was nominated for the coveted Best Newcomer Award in the same year.

Jarred has a unique, larger than life persona and is described as one of the most likeable stars on the circuit. His energetic storytelling has earned him a host of accolades including a Chortle Award and has catapulted him to the forefront of TV screens in shows such as Mock The Week, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and 8 out of 10 Cats. His radio credits include Act Your Age on BBC Radio 4 and Radio 2’s Flight of the Conchords.

The popular Shrewsbury comedy club was launched earlier this year, with every monthly event so far selling out.

“We are really pleased to see the return of the comedy evenings after their summer break and look forward to a great autumn season,” said Henry Tudor House proprietor Graham Jenkins.
Tickets cost £12 each and are available from Henry Tudor House or online at
