Aquila's Great Deal Bowls Maidens Over

A fast-growing commercial vehicle specialist has clinched a major deal for 16 new MAN trucks with a national haulage company.

The Aquila group has tied up the deal with Telford-based transport company Maidens for 16 new MAN TGX 440 trucks.

Aquila Chief Executive Gary Mullaney said the deal built on an excellent working relationship between the two companies.

“We have worked extremely closely with Maidens over a number of years and 90 per cent of their fleet has now been supplied by Aquila,” said Gary.

“The TGX 440 trucks have exceptional load carrying capabilities and pulling power and will be perfect for Maidens’ operation.

“As the largest independent MAN dealership in the country, we can offer the very best deals and back them up with an unrivalled level of care and customer service. That is why nationally-respected companies such as Maidens keep coming back to us.”

John Maiden, managing director of Maidens, said he was delighted with the deal, which cemented his company’s close ties with Aquila.

“Aquila is a professional, well organised company whose attention to detail in all areas of their business lead to high standards of customer satisfaction,” said John.

“The staff are very friendly and efficient getting the job finished to a high quality. Our close working relationship goes as far as renting out one of their workshops to Aquila MAN.”

Aquila opened its Telford depot at Deer Park Court, Donnington Wood Business Park in 2010. The state-of-the-art facility provides round-the-clock support for a number of major local clients, including Maidens.

The Aquila Group was founded by Gary Mullaney in 2003 and has enjoyed a decade of growth. It now has bases across the Midlands and the South West and is ranked the number one MAN dealership on Google’s search engine.

Its custom built workshop bays boast the very latest in technology and can accommodate every vehicle type from light commercial vehicles through to buses and coaches and special application vehicles up to 50 tonnes.
This operation is supported by the largest MAN parts operation in the Midlands, with truck and trailer parts on demand, express delivery covering the whole of the Midlands and North Wales and a 24 hour parts counter.
