Eleven Pipers Piping – Whipping up a treat this Christmas will be the master cake makers from Empire Cupcakery. The piping on their Christmas cupcakes is simply irresistible or have a go yourself - all you could possibly need to magic up something scrumptious can be found in Cooking Marvellous on Wyle Cop.

Grab your tickets quick as this one-off show is bound to dazzle and amaze.

Nine Ladies Dancing – Christmas is all about slipping into something sparkly and stepping out in those show-stopping dancing shoes. If the ladies in your life dream of designer then head to Charles Clinkard in High Street or the Shrewsbury Shoe Company at the top of Wyle Cop for all shoe shenanigans.

Eight Maids a Milking – Shrewsbury’s Milk Street is the place to go for Christmas presents. Check out Cornucopia on the corner for lovely kitchenware and the latest tote bags from Cath Kidston and Emma Bridgewater. If you need a pit stop then head to Eat Up to refuel or Rizzo’s Hairdressing for some seasonal salon time.

Seven Swans a Swimming – To recreate a famous scene from Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece ‘Swan Lake’, pick up an Angel Face tutu from Twinkle Twinkle in Dogpole. They come in adult sizes too!

Six Geese a Laying – For a spot of pure indulgence, have a gander at the salted caramel chocolate eggs by Rococco in Pukka Wines at the top of the Cop. They make great gifts for the family and go down a treat with dinner guests.

Five Golden Rings – Add some dazzle this Christmas with a statement ring or precious gem for that special someone. J A Woodroffe on Mardol has a wide range of fine diamond pieces and gemstone jewellery to set off any Christmas outfit.

Four Calling Birds – After the stresses and strains of Christmas shopping, most could do with a New Year pampering session. Why not pop into St Nicolas’s Day Spa for a luxury Moroccan inspired treat guaranteed to chirp you right up.

Three French Hens – Fluff up the feathers of any man this Christmas with fancy French knickers and awesome undies at M&S in Pride Hill. They have a huge range and are guaranteed to never fail in the underwear department.

Two Turtle Doves – For the cute couple, treat them to a foodie voucher or book a romantic meal at one of Shrewsbury’s wonderful restaurants. Try Drapers, Henry Tudor House, House of the Rising Sun or Romolo’s to drink and eat the night away, and let the atmosphere work its magic.

And a Partridge in a Pear Tree – Finally, for you and all the family, pack a hamper full to bursting with tasty treats from across the town. Pick up some plucky partridge pâté from Appleyards, a plump pear from the Market Hall along with other festive favourites to share on the big day.

For inspiration, Original Shrewsbury’s Christmas film also provides a magical shopping trip with a romantic ‘will they, won’t they’ story thrown in – just to keep you guessing.

The story of Emily and James unfolds on the snowy streets of Shrewsbury where Emily shares her Christmas moments in some of the town’s festive favourites, including Tanners, Stan’s Cycles and Twinkle Twinkle.
