Built IT International Shrewsbury launches Christmas Appeal

Build It International have just launched a Christmas Appeal with a difference. Anyone who sets up a regular gift before the end of the year will have their gift matched by a fund, doubling the value of the gift, allowing Build It to support more communities in Africa.

Build It International are a Shrewsbury based charity that are committed to improving the lives of people in Zambia by providing essential community buildings and skills based training.

To date, the charity has completed over 19 building projects helping over 14,000 people and trained over 150 Zambian men and women in basic building skills.
2012 has been a busy year for Build It International. Four new schools were completed and opened, including a purpose designed school for children with disabilities. Work also began on new projects: the first ever secondary school in Kawama, a training centre in Kaoma and a community school in Shipungu which uses a technology called rammed earth. Earlier this year, Build It announced that Canadian musician Bryan Adams had become a Patron of the charity.
