A Shrewsbury-based video production company has joined forces with a calligraphy specialist to help create a series of inspirational films to showcase its creative offer.
7video has teamed up with Bridgnorth-based Manuscript, a leading family-run manufacturer and retailer of fountain pens and calligraphy products, to help demonstrate its unique range of writing products, as well as the rich heritage and people behind the brand.
The company was called upon to produce five short films to help Manuscript communicate and engage with its stakeholders, and demonstrate the array of products on offer, as well as provide some background on the brand and how its developed since it was established over 150 years ago. In addition, 7video was asked to capture the firm’s ‘Callicreativity’ event, where local artists and guests of all ages were invited to produce caricatures, drawings and typography using the firm’s specialist pens, inks and wax sealing.,
Charles Stockbridge, Commercial Director and grandson of the founder of Manuscript, explained: “As one of the leading producers of calligraphy pens, writing tools, and wax seals, Manuscript is long-established with a diverse customer-base, however we were looking for a new and inspirational way to communicate with our audience. Creating a range of videos seemed like the perfect way, and allowed us to demonstrate our traditional products through a contemporary channel, and Peter and his team immediately understood the potential of narrating our very interesting family business and the history of Manuscript.
“We launched the Callicreativity event to inspire people to use creative products, and the main video captures all the artistic experiences happening on the day. We are very pleased with the result of the work, and feel the videos encapsulate our ethos as a brand.”
