College students get composting

Along with our contractor Veolia we've been helping some adults with learning difficulities who are studying horticulture and environmental studies at Radbrook College in Shrewsbury.

Its been really rewarding to be involved with the students and staff who are a lovely bunch of people.  As part of their course they have been looking at composting, which is obviously integral to any garden.  We were keen to help because as well as improving the garden, composting is a great way to reduce waste.  Thats why we offer local residents discount home compost bins from our website and why we help community groups like this to get into composting.

We recently just delivered a new compost bin and water butt for the students and it was a delight to see how excited they were.  Hopefully this will go some way to helping them kick start their garden make over whilst teaching them more about the environment.

Good luck to the students with their project.  I look forward to coming back in the summer to see the results of your hard work.
