The proprietor of a Shrewsbury record store, is busy making final preparations ahead of the launch of his new solo album. Joe Cave, the man behind successful Cave Records of The Parade in Shrewsbury - will be releasing his album next Wednesday.
A psych pop album, Psych Out The Science will be very unique, as it’s being released on a limited 12” purple vinyl pressing, with just 250 editions! The album release is one not to be missed for vinyl enthusiasts and appreciators across the region.
Joe himself, has played all the instruments and recorded the majority of the record within his own home studio. It has been mixed by Ben Jones and mastered by audio legend Jon Astley. Jon, is the industry legend who has worked with artists including The Who, The Zombies, Led Zeppelin, George Harrison and Tori Amos to name just a few.
The album is to be released on Wednesday August 20 - and it will be available to purchase from Cave Records, which is situated within The Parade Shopping Centre in the heart of Shrewsbury.
Speaking ahead of the launch, Joe Cave said “This is a really special moment for me - and also for the shop. It’s taken a lot of hard work and effort to get the album ready - but now it’s completed, it will be a great achievement for both me and my wife, Becki.”
Becki Cave added “I’m really pleased that we’re able to release Joe’s vinyl album through the shop. It would be lovely for local vinyl appreciators to support him and purchase the record!”
Cave Records have now entered their second year of operation - and will soon be unveiling a brand new website, helping to expand their offer to vinyl buyers across Shropshire as well as nationwide.
