Photographer snaps up solo exhibition

Turning a passion for photography and a love of Shrewsbury into a thriving business may seem an impossible task; but local man Adam Telford rose to the challenge. His apt photography venture has proven the benefits of following your ambitions to achieve commercial success - and a solo exhibition is now on the cards at the Silverton this July.

Shropshire born and bred, Adam took the bold decision to follow dreams and establish his photography business last year. The gamble paid off and apt photography is going from strength to strength. The leading business has even attracted worldwide interest, with sales of images to ex-pats of Shrewsbury in Canada, Cyprus and Australia - offering photos of iconic landmarks to remember the county town by.

The exhibition at the Silverton in Shrewsbury will showcase approximately 15 photographs from Adam's extensive and stunning collection. Works will be available for purchase and the show will commence with a special launch event on Monday 1st July starting at 7:30pm. Art enthusiasts and those who share a fellow love of Shrewsbury for its scenery and surrounds, are invited to attend.

Adam Telford said "It's been extremely positive for me to witness how the people of Shropshire have supported my venture and embraced everything that apt is about. I'm really excited to display my work at the Silverton, which is a fantastic venue."

Speaking of the forthcoming exhibition, Chris Wright of the Silverton said "Adam's photographs will really complement the Silverton, as they share our very ethos. We source great local produce to make our dishes shine; and apt delivers great local shots to make Shrewsbury shine! The apt exhibition will certainly emphasise the Silverton's aim to provide a relaxing social environment in which those eating can enjoy the artwork on show".
