Halls auctioneers have thanked vendors and buyers for their support of a second successful and well attended Love Lane Machinery Sale in Bishops Castle on Saturday, which achieved a 74 per cent clearance rate.

Top price from the 340 lots on offer went to a 2024 Avant 423 4WD Loader with bucket, pallet tines and round bale handler which sold for £15,200 while a grey Ferguson TEF20 diesel tractor headed to a new home for £1,800.

Other highlights of the auction were £7,100 for a Hi-Spec 1600 vacuum tanker, £7,000 for a Same Explorer 90 turbo Synchro tractor, £6,600 for a 2023 Prattley sheep handling system, £3,900 for a Flexi Farm 6m rolls with shatter board, £3,900 for a 1975 Ford 4000 with Quickie 2650 front loader, £3,800 for a 2003 John Deere 1365 Trailed Mower, £2,800 for a Vicon Fanex X-524 4x Rita Tedder, £2,300 for a 33 foot Step Frame lorry trailer, £2,200 for a Lely Welger RP202 Ranger round baler and £2,100 for an Iseki TX 1500 4WD with 4ft topper, £2,100 each for a 14ft Ifor Williams LM145G twin axle trailer and 27ft bale trailer and £2,050 for a 2014 Cousins Gallop Master 300 leveller.

“There was a terrific turn out of people and I would like to say a massive thank you to all the vendors and buyers for supporting the sale,” said Halls auctioneer Henry Hyde, organiser.

“We received entries from farmers, smallholders and local dealers, including G. Bryan Jones, Bishops Castle, across Mid Wales and the South Shropshire border.

The next Love Lane Machinery Sale is on September 26. Before that, Halls are holding the next Kidderminster Machinery Sale at The Gallops, Stanklyn Lane, Stone this Friday, May 1, starting at 10am with garden machinery, building materials, livestock equipment, workshop tools and sundries. The machinery sale begins at 10.30am.
