Have you ever hankered after Cheryl Cole’s volumising locks, Kate Middleton’s bouncy Chelsea wave or Angelina Jolie’s elegant red carpet updo?

Shrewsbury’s first blow-dry bar is now offering Love Shrewsbury readers the chance to win a glamorous hair styling and beauty make-over for Valentine’s Day.

Blow and Go, in the Darwin Centre, is a new concept where customers can walk-in for instant grooming with a shampoo and stylish blow dry or hair-updo.

“Clients request their favourite style and after just 30 minutes they walk out with fabulous looking hair,” said business owner Satie Kaur-Boulton.

“It’s the perfect way for women to look their best for an evening out or important business meeting or to simply give themselves a boost.”

Blow and Go also performs a complete walk-in service for make-up, eyelashes, eyebrows and nails. It recently introduced walk-in haircuts in response to customer demand.

“Hair updos are the ultimate in glamour and they are hugely fashionable this season, often combined with twists, platts and braiding,” said Satie.

“There are updo styles suitable for any length of hair, including short hair. Just think of Carey Mulligan, Keira Knightly or Helen Mirren.”

Blow-dry bars first took off in the United States, becoming huge in New York before opening up in London, Sydney and other major cities of the world.

For Valentine’s Day Blow and Go is also selling gift vouchers so husbands and boyfriends and partners can treat their valentines.

The blow-dry bar can cater for hen and birthday parties, children’s pamper parties and bridal and prom hair. Tel: 01743 366668.
