World Class Music from Welsh Supergroup

Oli Wilson-Dickson, Dylan Fowler and Nia Lynn make up the band ALAW - who were described as a “Welsh supergroup” by Songlines magazine. Arts Alive have booked the trio in for four shows across Shropshire and Herefordshire in January and February.

ALAW have a shared passion for the traditional music of Wales and in 2019 they won a Wales Folk Award after be nominated in 3 categories. Their televised collaboration with the BBC Concert Orchestra for a Prom at The Royal Albert Hall was described on BBC Radio 2 as “show-stopping” and in the Times as “a sparkling collision of Celtic traditions” in 2018.

Cerin Mills, Live Events Programmer at Arts Alive, said, “The combination of the talents amongst these three Welsh musicians, results in such emotive, powerful music. They each bring a wealth of experience. Nia Lynn’s exceptional voice and harmonium blends with Oli Wilson-Dickson’s dazzling fiddle, interwoven with Dylan Fowler’s sparkling guitar playing.

“ALAW will be treating audiences to original music, well-loved songs and rare gems with a deftness and sensitivity that is thoroughly absorbing. This is a musical experience that will stay with the listener long after the performance ends. I’m sure audiences in Shropshire and Herefordshire can’t wait to enjoy a live music performance after such a long time. We have been working with the local venues to make sure they have made all the arrangements to deliver safe shows for our audiences.”
