Kick starting with an extended bank holiday and an array of celebration events for the Platinum Jubilee, June is set to be another exciting month in the county.


Guided Walks of Shrewsbury: until 30 September

As we hope for sunshine and blue skies, it’s the perfect time to explore more of Shrewsbury. Organised by Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery, join one of their guided 90-minute daily talks from 2pm, Monday-Saturday or 11.30am Sunday. Tour groups meet under the Old Market Hall – no booking required.


Alberts 5th Birthday Party: 1-5 June

Albert’s Shed is celebrating its 5th birthday but of course the celebrations aren’t just for one day only! The mega party will take place nightly featuring some of the venues favourite themed nights along with a range of live performances and DJ sessions.


Shrewsbury Farmers Market: 3 June 9am-3.30pm

The Shrewsbury Farmers Market brings the fields of Shropshire to Shrewsbury Square on the first Friday of every month. There is a plethora of delicious food and drink to tempt people to try some of the best locally produced food.


The 90’s Revival Festival: 3-4 June

The 90s Revival is a high-octane event bringing you some of the best artists and tracks of the 90s.

Over 2 days the due behind this highly anticipated event bring to the stage Baby D, N-Trance, Angie Brown (voice of Bizarre Inc), Urban Cookie Collective, Dario G, East 17, Alice DJ, Maxx, Anita Doth (voice of 2 unlimited hits) and D-Ream.

Late Night at The Market Hall: Saturday 4 June

Late nights are back at The Market Hall, Shrewsbury. Shop and dine as the popular independent destination is open until 10pm.


Charcoal Portraits Workshop: 9 & 16 June

Belle Vue Arts Festival: 11-25 June

Ex Cathedra: Summer Music by Candlelight: 14 June

Night Behind Bars: 17 June

Shrewsbury Prison invite you to have a truly authentic experience with an evening stay within the Victorian Jail. Follow an ex-prison officer on a tour of the various wings, themed cells, segregation unit and even the execution room. Oil to the Fort: 17-19 June

Back by popular demand, Dough and Oil’s summer event Oil to the Fort returns to Shrewsbury Castle Grounds. Set to be bigger and better, with two live music stages, open-air cinema and of course food and drink. Spaces will be limited to book your ticket here.


Comics Salopia: 24-26 June
