Sport Relief in the Pink ….

A south Shropshire company is doing its bit to support Sport Relief which hits the television screens on Friday.

Promofix, based on Faraday Drive in Bridgnorth, produces promotional merchandise for many firms from within the county and also across the UK and has donated over 100 sports drink bottles to re-hydrate volunteers manning the phones to take calls from people wishing to make donations during the evening.

Proprietor, Kathryn Holloway, said: “Sport Relief has raised many millions of pounds over the years and supports such very good causes, so we as a team decided to help in this very small way by donating these bright pink bottles for use by call centre volunteers.”

This year Sport Relief will yet again feature sports personalities and celebrities helping to raise money by taking part in walking, running, swimming or cycling activities in events to be staged across the UK over the weekend.

Personalities such as David Walliams, Davina McCall and Gary Lineker will star on the TV programme alongside the Sport Relief Bake Off hosted by Mary Berry.
