Shropshire Kids Festival this weekend!

Shropshire Kids Festival 2019 will be held at Shrewsbury’s Quarry Park on the 11th and 12th May. The two-day event promises to be the most spectacular kids festival to date.

Tickets can be purchased in advance from the Shropshire Kids Festival website. Once inside the festival, all activities are free to take part in, meaning there is no limit to what your youngsters can experience.

There is an incredible selection of activities lined up by the festival’s organisers. These include: a gigantic 400-foot obstacle course, a battalion of inflatables with a helter skelter slide, giant games, messy play, storytelling tent, zorbing, space hopper arena, mini golf, bubble football, go karts, tennis skills, foam parties, water slides, arts, sports day style races, crafts, baking sessions, colouring in a car, martial arts, circus tent, musical theatre sessions, nerf wars, disco dancing, giant sandpit and a seaside themed pirate and princess school. All free to take part in.

There will also be a tent for children to explore all things STEAM - science, technology, engineering, art and maths – helping children to engage with these core learning areas in a fun and accessible way. Attendees to the tent will be able to operate on a teddy, make a robot, design their own stickers and construct a catapult, amongst many other activities.

Beth Heath, Shropshire Festival’s founder, said, “The success of the last three kids festivals is testament to the appetite for spectacular kids’ entertainment in the county. We have been working very hard to ensure we can provide all activities within the festival free of charge, so that there is no limit to how much fun the kids can have.”

The whole family can enjoy a huge variety of mouth-watering food and drink stalls at the event.  When it all gets too much for the grown-ups there is the ‘Adult Creche’ offering a place for them to get away from the hustle and bustle of the festival, whilst raising money for the Harry Johnson Trust, which the festival supports.
